My name is Jesse Rosenthal, and I am 16 years old roaster based in NYC. My love for specialty coffee began when I went to a convention in city. There I tried a pourover local roaster and was shocked that coffee could taste so fruity and complex. That is what got me hooked. But after being in the community for a while I realized that coffee is more about the people than the coffee itself. Talking and sharing ideas with members of the coffee community and giving that first specialty cup to the commodity coffee drinker. That's why I started Rising Coffee in July '24. We are a nano roaster that focuses on small lots of exceptional coffees. You can find my coffee on this site, stores across NYC, and at my pop-ups.
